Cristina’s culinary journey began with a profound connection to food, sparked by a transformative rice fast that bridged her spiritual awakening and aided her recovery from illness. This pivotal experience ignited her passion for macrobiotics, a philosophy centered on achieving harmony between yin and yang, which she skillfully adapts using seasonal and local organic ingredients. Her dedication to holistic well-being led her to study gestalt therapy and bodywork, allowing her to address the emotional dimensions of nourishment. For the past eight years, she has thrived as a private chef, specializing in retreats where she crafts meals that are not only delicious but also energetically supportive of the participants’ journeys. Each retreat receives a thoughtfully designed menu that enhances the overall experience. Cristina is also a certified macrobiotic teacher and consultant, having honed her skills at a prestigious macrobiotic school in Spain. With a background in Fine Arts, she approaches cooking as a form of artistic expression, ensuring that each dish is a visual and culinary masterpiece.
